Day 1

We will pick you up from the  Hosea Kutako International Airport and directly transfer 70 km west – travelling in the comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle, through picturesque bush land and savannah to luxury safari lodge spectacularly situated among Auas Mountains. At the lodge, time for rest and refreshing after the flight, in the calmness of the surrounding nature.

Optional activity:

Sundowner game drive on the farm, time permitting, if your arrival will be before afternoon.

First day of your African safari is topped-up with an elegant dinner, created from appetizing ingredients  – all set in an exotic African atmosphere.

 

Distance: 70 km.

Meals: dinner at the safari lodge designed in the colonial style.

Accommodation: 1 night at Naankuse Lodge or similar.

 

Day 2

After breakfast, we are venturing to southern Namibia to the Namib Desert and famous Sossusvlei – World’s highest dunes.  Travelling through wavy, grassy savannah which transforms into impressive, sandy desert. Rich desert flora and occasional wild animals are an exotic attraction on route.

Passing through mountainous Spreetshoogte Pass we are charmed by spectacular, fascinating landscape of the round mountains, hills and interesting rock formations. Stopping on route, provides wonderful opportunity for unforgettable landscape photography. Lunch is served amidst desert savannah at the cozy wilderness restaurant at Solitaire.

Arrival at the luxurious Desert Safari Lodge near Sossusvlei and your ‚wilderness home’ for next two days. There is plenty of time for refreshing and relaxation before appetizing dinner.

 

Distance: around 450 km, mainly on well-maintained gravel roads.

Duration: around 8 hrs including stops for pictures and desert lunch break.

Accommodation: 2 nights at Little Kulala or similar.

 

Day 3

At sunrise, fascinating adventure to spectacular Sossusvlei, famous high, orange dunes and surreal Dead Vlei, combined with climbing to the top of picturesque Dune 45. Breath-taking landscape of the majestic dunes, touched by the light of the raising sun and contrasting shadows overwhelms us with its shapes, forms and colors! Exquisite and unforgettable vistas, worth capturing through the eye of camera.

Dead Vlei, as if „frozen in time” charms and amazes at the same time, while we admire its incredible landscape expressions! Dry acacia forest (Camelthorn Acacia) calmly, motionlessly stands amongst the silent dunes. Desert experience leaves unforgettable impression, with one of the highest dunes in the area „Big Daddy” towering up over 300 m.

 

After morning adventure, return to the lodge for appetizing lunch, relaxation at the pool or quiet rest whilst tucked into the African stillness of the oldest desert in the world – the Namib.

 

Dinner deliciously served by the light of sparking fire at the elegant restaurant, accompanied by calming symphony of the desert’s night sounds.

 

Day 4

After breakfast, thrilling sky adventure, as you are going airborne! Beauty of the Namib Desert steals your heart away, while you enjoy the landscape from bird’s-view. Light Cessna aircraft takes you for an impressive, scenic flight over the Namib. Rolling, sandy dunes charm with its splendor of shapes and forms. Twisted dried-up river beds wind-up among rocks and shrubs. Unfolding desert landscape continues to overwhelm!

 

Cessna carries you west to the Coast of Atlantic and tucked in the blanket of sand, small town-oasis Swakopmund. Here, unique, German, colonial architecture blends with modern trends contrasting with surrealistic dunes.

 

Your accommodation is booked at the luxurious hotel in the center of town. After the flight, rest and relaxation combined with the city-walk to the local ‚open-air’ curio market, admiring attractive and colorful, African artifacts.

 

Meals: breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Flight duration: around 1hr 15 min.

Accommodation: 2 nights at Zum Kaiser Hotel or similar.

 

Day 5

After breakfast ‚Taste of the Atlantic’ – oceanic adventure! You are invited for a dolphin cruise into the Atlantic Ocean to visit fur seal colony and the pink flamingos’ breeding area; on route searching for playful dolphins and mysterious Mola Mola, rare fish visiting coastal waters.

On board celebration of ocean adventure with a sparkling champagne, fresh oysters (from the local oceanic farm) and appetizing selection of snacks, served by friendly crew.

 

Duration of cruise – 3 hrs.

Lunch served at the local restaurant in port town of Walvis Bay.

After lunch escapade to spectacular Moon Valley and Welwitschia Mirabilis trails – desert plant and world’s botanical attraction, one of the oldest known plants on earth, called by many the ‚living fossil’.

 

Duration of travel – 3 hrs.

Dinner elegantly served at the hotel’s restaurant.

 

Day 6

In the morning, we are on our way to world-famous, treasure of Namibian nature – Etosha National Park, one of the most beautiful and considered to be, one of the most loved, game parks of Africa! On route, visit at the local „open-air market” featuring collection of semi-precious stones and African artifacts. Wonderful occasion for passionate collectors to purchase some of the works! Etosha National Park presents a unique chance for thrilling, wildlife photography!

Surrounded by sights and sounds of the savannah, magnificent landscape and unspoiled wildlife, we are spending 2 days searching for big game of Etosha, roaming freely in its natural environment: lions, cheetahs, leopards, African elephants (largest in the world), hyenas, giraffes, zebras, rhinos and variety of antelopes as well as reptiles and birds of the wild.

Arrival in Etosha in the afternoon, entering through the ‚Anderson’s Gate’. After settling in the stylish bungalows, you are invited for a game drive to surrounding waterholes to admire live ‚theatre of nature’! Return to the camp before sundown, right before closing of the camp’s gates. Appetizing dinner served at one of the Etosha’s restaurants.

 

Meals: breakfast, lunch, dinner.

Distance: around 450 km, on tar roads and well-maintained gravel roads of Etosha.

Duration: around 8 hrs, includes stops for pictures and lunch break.

Accommodation: 2 nights at Onguma The Fort or similar.

 

Day 7

Entire day on the safari trails of Etosha! Travelling through bush and savannah, from waterhole to waterhole, we are enveloped in beauty of abounding African wildlife and calming harmony of nature.

While searching for „king of the savannah” – the lion, we encounter elephants and antelopes (kudu, oryx, springbok, impala, wildebeest) as well as giraffes, zebras, ostriches and perhaps rare black rhino. Sheer feast for passionate photographers! After lunch, game drive in an open-air vehicle – closeness of wildlife at its best!

 

Meals: breakfast, lunch & dinner.

Distance: 200 km on gravel roads and safari trails of Etosha.

 

Day 8

‚Farewell Namibia!’ After breakfast, fully delighted with the beauty of unspoiled African wildlife, we are heading back to Windhoek. Landscape, wildlife and spacious savannas – forever captures your heart!

Transfer to the Hosea Kutako International Airport, on route, short stop-over for lunch at small town Okahandja and last chance for curio and souvenirs shopping at the local ‚open-air’ market.

 

Meals: breakfast, lunch.

Distance: 450 km on tar roads.

Duration: 5 hrs, including stop for lunch and shopping.

 

Accommodation

Accommodation at the luxury four-star ‚+’ lodges and hotels. Double rooms with an option of single supplement. All rooms with private bathrooms and air-conditioning.
