Early morning before sunrise, drive towards Sossusvlei and Dead Vlei - a place of the highest dunes in the world, set in the midst of the world’s oldest desert. You are welcome to climb scenic Dune 45, while enjoying incredible desert vistas and ever-changing scenery of the Namib. 5km deep sand, off-road trail takes you to Dead Vlei where ancient, dried up acacias stand amidst orange dunes creating surreal landscape. Today traveling through the Namib-Naukluft NP, admiring dried up Kuiseb riverbed and Kuised Canyon. En route, crossing geographical line of the Tropic of Capricorn - the southernmost latitude where the Sun can be seen directly overhead.

Magnificent landscape of the Namib reaches as far as the eye can see. Grazing wildlife: oryx (gemsbok), springbok, mountain zebras, giraffes and earth's largest, flightless bird - ostrich.

On arrival at the coast, visit to Walvis Bay Lagoon to admire flocks of Greater and Lesser Flamingos. Afterwards transfer to Swakopmund.

After breakfast, relaxing walk through picturesque, coastal town of Swakopmund. Visit at the local ‚open-air’ curio market, shopping for handmade African artifacts and souvenirs. After lunch, escapade to spectacular Moon Valley and Welwitchia mirabilis trails – unique, desert plant and botanical attraction; one of the oldest known plants on Earth, called by the botanists the ‚living fossil’.

Coastal road takes you further north. On the way, visit to the largest fur seal colony with short stop at the historical Cape Cross, where in 1486, Portuguese sailor Diego Cao set up a stone cross in tribute of the King of Portugal, after landing on the Namibian coast.

Turning east, inland – you are on route to the mountainous region of Brandberg Massif with the highest Namibian peak, Konigstein, towering 2574m above sea level.

Early in the morning, traveling via scenic Damaraland to visit Twyfelfontein – UNESCO World Heritage site, where over 2500 rock engravings created by Bushmen and found in the rusty rocks and mountains. The site has been inhabited for 6,000 years, first by hunter-gatherers and later by Khoikhoi herders. Both ethnic groups used it as a place of worship and a site to conduct shamanistic rituals. In the process of these rituals at least 2,500 items of rock carvings have been created, as well as a few rock paintings. Displaying one of the largest concentrations of rock petroglyphs in Africa , UNESCO approved Twyfelfontein as Namibia's first World Heritage Site in 2007. Engravings depict animals, hunters and hunting, people and their lifestyle.

In the morning, unforgettable visit to the Himba village, learning about their semi-nomadic way of life. Unique opportunity to observe exotic culture and customs. The Himba are a tribe of semi-nomadic pastoralis, who inhabit the Kaokoland in northern Namibia. They have clung to their traditions, and the beautiful Himba women are noted for their orange-colored skin, intricate hairstyles and traditional jewelry. Himba men and women wear few clothes, apart from a loin cloth or goat-skin mini-skirt, they rub their bodies with mixture of red ochre and animal fat to protect themselves against sun, insects and to condition their skin. It gives Himba’s skin characteristic rich, red color. Himba jewelry is made from iron, animal skin or shell, and due to the intricate designs, have become popular among the visiting tourists. Purchasing handmade crafts directly supports the village. Visit to the Himbas creates wonderful opportunity for spectacular ethnic photography.
